Founded in 2008 by Daniel Gibson, DGib Hoops is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of youth from underserved and challenging environments—often referred to as the "latchkey kids." With a passion for empowering the next generation, Daniel created a scholarship program to support students from 6th to 12th grade, giving them the tools and opportunities to pursue their dreams.
The foundation’s mission is rooted in its motto: The ABCs—Academics, Basketball, and a Commitment to Both. Through mentorship, education, and athletics, DGib Hoops provides a pathway to success, inspiring young people to excel both on and off the court.
